    Salary Range

    $75,000.00 depending on qualifications

    Essential Functions


    The Director will lead a comprehensive student recruitment and admission strategy to attract, recruit, and enroll highly qualified graduate students. They will act as a key member of the strategic leadership admissions team and reports to the Dean of Graduate Studies. They will manage the enrollment efforts in the graduate studies office by providing technical and administrative assistance at a professional level in all areas of Graduate Studies, both for on-campus and off-campus students.

    1. Manage the day-to-day activities of the Graduate Admissions Office

    2. Gather data, conduct research, administer surveys, and provide planned and on-going reporting

    3. Create and implement a communication plan

    4. Create and implement a marketing and recruitment plan

    5. Interact and confer regularly with internal and external stakeholders

    6. Responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing projects and supervising staff related to enrollment, admissions, and administrative processes.

    7. Duties may vary and will evolve over time as the Graduate Studies office implements new strategies reflective of the evolving landscape of higher education

    Required Qualifications


    1. Master’s degree
    2. Four (4) years of experience in office management or recruitment, preferably in higher education
    3. Familiarity with the needs of diverse student populations, including international students.
    4. Experience with marketing, student management systems, and associated technologies.

    Preferred Qualifications


    1. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Advanced knowledge of large database systems (specifically PeopleSoft.) Motivated to stay current with emerging technologies to recommend/implement improvements.
    2. Facilitates decision-making to execute projects and contributes to the creation of accurate project plans.
    3. Maintains positive working relationships with faculty and staff to foster collaboration in support of student learning and success.
    4. Confers regularly with supervisor, University personnel, and external organizations/individuals to exchange information and resolve problems.
    5. Ability to balance priorities, accomplish assigned tasks within required time frames and shift between tasks without loss of continuity.
    6. Must express ideas effectively in oral and written form. Competence to compose and edit correspondence, proposals and reports that may require the ability to relay complex or adverse information.
    7. Organizational and analytical abilities, solid communication skills, computer competency, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and a belief in the value of a higher education with the capacity to articulate its benefits to the public

    Schedule

    Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.


    Standard Working Conditions

    1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
    2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
    3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
    4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
    5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
    6. Standard working conditions may differ depending on department and occupation
