May serves as the ACGME Designated Institutional Official and ensures compliance with ACGME requirements. Being a Graduate Medical Education Director monitors residency assignments and scheduling. Gathers data and creates reports supporting the programs' accreditation. Additionally, Graduate Medical Education Director typically requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. The Graduate Medical Education Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher. Three year or more of instructional or formal training experience and leadership. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
