Graduate Medical Education Director jobs in Reading, PA

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in a hospital setting in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and organized.
• Perform basic medical procedures, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider.
• Assist with patient intake and registration, including gathering medical history and verifying insurance information.
• Provide patient education on medication, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record systems.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, referrals, and coordinating patient care.

Requirements:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Current CPR certification is required.
