Grants Administrator jobs in Albany, GA

Grants Administrator administers the financial control processes of grant activity throughout the grant lifecycle for awarded or received grants to ensure compliance with grant provisions, regulations, standards, timelines, and reporting requirements. Monitors grantee management and disbursement of funds and reviews grantee programs for compliance with the terms of grants. Being a Grants Administrator prepares and submits financial reporting and performs accounting tasks related to managing grant funding received. Tracks and reconciles grant account budgets and expenses. Additionally, Grants Administrator submits any additional information or documentation required by the grant funder. Follows grant accounting best practices and complies with legal regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Grants Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     • The primary focus of this position is to identify sources of funding and to write the funding applications. Serves as a leader and role model. Responsible for orientation of all staff who will work on grant programs for community education and training. Provides educational programs and in-services , as well as consults, develops, plans, implements, and evaluates programs provided. Schedules and coordinates community education programs. Works on department and program related projects, evaluates outcomes, budget review and submit reports as needed and required.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university (Required)
    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    • 5 - 6 Years experience educating staff and preparing related materials, procedures and references. (Required)
    • 2 - 3 years leadership and mentoring experience (Required)
    • 2 - 3 years work in community related area. (Required)
    • 1 - 2 years Experience in working with non-profit organizations, and experience in grant writing with a good rate of success (Preferred)
