The Position
Grants & Projects Analysts develop and implement and/or assess, monitor, control and review grant-in-aid projects/programs administered by State agencies and provide assistance to recipients in evaluating program effectiveness.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This is a Grants & Projects Analyst 1 position with the Department of Business & Industry, Nevada Housing Division and will be based in Carson City. The incumbent's duties will include the oversight of the state's allocation of state and federal grants received by the Division. This position will maintain grant forms, process reimbursement requests, process reimbursement requests, create monitoring schedules and documents, prepare and verify financial documents and explain grant programs including all applicable policies and procedures of the Division. This position will assist in updating of annual plans and reports to the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development, gather and report data as required by HUD or the Division. This position is potentially involved with state and federal grants including the Account for Affordable Housing Trust Fund Welfare Set-Aside program; assists in ensuring federal grants are in compliance with Housing and Urban Development policies; and coordinates programs between the Division and public and private entities to ensure the overall success of the programs. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field and one year of professional grants experience which includes at least two of the following areas: writing grant applications; determining grant/subgrant program eligibility; researching, writing and implementing grant program plans; managing fiscal aspects of grants/subgrants; providing technical assistance to grant/subgrant recipients; and/or monitoring and ensuring grant/subgrant recipient compliance; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional grants experience which includes at least two of the following areas as described above OR one year of experience as a Grants & Projects Analyst Trainee in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
