Grants Administrator administers the financial control processes of grant activity throughout the grant lifecycle for awarded or received grants to ensure compliance with grant provisions, regulations, standards, timelines, and reporting requirements. Monitors grantee management and disbursement of funds and reviews grantee programs for compliance with the terms of grants. Being a Grants Administrator prepares and submits financial reporting and performs accounting tasks related to managing grant funding received. Tracks and reconciles grant account budgets and expenses. Additionally, Grants Administrator submits any additional information or documentation required by the grant funder. Follows grant accounting best practices and complies with legal regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Grants Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     The Workday Administrator is responsible for providing support as the IT department representative for the Workday application. This includes application issues-analysis/resolution, configuration, managing security/permissions, reporting support, acting as a liaison between CBE and external application contacts and providing assistance to end-users. This role will deploy new releases and/or enhancements, maintain and support the platform's operational functions, and perform system and integration testing.

    Job Details:

    • Serve as the key contact for Workday. Stay current with all application upgrades and enhancements. Work with vendors and internal technical teams to resolve issues, install and test upgrades and customizations.

    • Responsible for maintenance, administration, and configuration of Workday.

    • Work with process owners to learn their processes and how they are applied within the Workday.

    • Develop, implement new configurations, customizations and recommend solutions based on the needs of the process owners.

    • Monitor Workday performance to maintain agreed upon performance metrics, including health, usage, and overall compliance. Recommend steps to improve performance when necessary.

    • Troubleshoot Workday problems; find resolution and/or recommending customizations to management.

    • Assist with strategic initiatives and roadmap of Workday.

    • Develop systems integrations and process automation, including workflow development and configuration.

    • Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases.

    • Performs promotion of code from development and test systems to production

    • Working with Security, Infrastructure and Technical Services teams, manages the integrity of security design and systems, ensures proper integration of the environment with other applications and systems including the implementation of backup and recovery processes.

    • Create and update technical and functional documentation such as operational procedures, report requirement documents, training materials, etc.

    • Participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide Tier 2 application support.

    • Provides technical guidance and training for users of Workday.

    • Provide Workday support cross-training to other Application Administrator team members.

    • Assist with research and recommendation on new system solutions (software and hardware) in the areas of your applications responsibility.

    • Provide input to application/infrastructure requirements and scalability.

    • Provide requests and assignments status reports to management.

    • Ensure data integrity, reliability, efficiency, and confidentiality of data.

    • Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal departments as well as 3rd party vendors and hosting providers.

    • Taking initiative with 3rd party vendor and hosting providers to escalate and resolve application issues to minimize any business impact.

    • Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience

    • Additionally, 2-3 years of experience with Workday functionalities, including configuration, integrations, business processes, and security administration

    • Must be able to obtain government clearance after hire. US Citizenship is required by the US government in order to obtain government clearance.

    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive projects for optimization

    • System analysis, problem solving and systemic process improvement skills

    • Knowledge of reporting and scripting tools

    • Exposure to software development methodologies

    • Knowledge of infrastructure in support of networking servers and storage

    • Ability to deal with complex challenges independently and collaboratively with team members

    • Must be self-motivated and take initiative in performing tasks

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

    • Possess excellent communication skills both in written and verbal form

    • Ability to organize with a high attention to detail

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

    The pay range for this position is $65,000-$87,000/year. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
