Grants Administrator administers the financial control processes of grant activity throughout the grant lifecycle for awarded or received grants to ensure compliance with grant provisions, regulations, standards, timelines, and reporting requirements. Monitors grantee management and disbursement of funds and reviews grantee programs for compliance with the terms of grants. Being a Grants Administrator prepares and submits financial reporting and performs accounting tasks related to managing grant funding received. Tracks and reconciles grant account budgets and expenses. Additionally, Grants Administrator submits any additional information or documentation required by the grant funder. Follows grant accounting best practices and complies with legal regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Grants Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.   • The Tri-County Technical College President’s Office invites applicants to the role of Grants Administrator. Under the limited supervision of the Organizational Development Strategist, the successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with internal clients to identify grant funding sources from public and private agencies, as well as managing grant proposal development, submission and reporting, including writing and/or compiling narratives.  The successful candidate must be able to work and manage projects independently while showing discretion within scope; possess excellent communication skills and some budget development skills; ability to work with a variety of constituents; ability to think creatively to accomplish goals; ability to utilize multiple forms of technology to streamline and enhance processes; possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and how to utilize these products in an efficient and effective way; and strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

    GRANT WRITING: Develops and writes grant proposals. Assists in grant development by collaborating with College constituents to articulate ideas into fundable proposals. Ensures depth of proposal content and expression of alignment. Conducts training on grant writing. Prepares institutional background and capability statements and provides other narratives for inclusion in grant proposals.
            
     GRANT ADMINISTRATION: Effectively manages grants to ensure compliance with regulations, donor contracts/stipulations, and set procedures. Maintains grants library containing information on funding sources, research data, planning documents, proposals, etc. Manages grant associated paperwork to include correspondence, contracts, alterations/amendments, activity reports, institutional responses, etc. Ensures all paperwork is timely and accurate. Develops and reviews proposal budgets and coordinates with business office. Develops a yearly projection of matching funds for inclusion in the College's budget request.
            
     GRANT RESEARCH: Monitors publications and web sites to identify grant opportunities. Conducts research to determine funding sources compatible with the purposes and goals of the College. In a timely manner, distributes relevant information to the appropriate constituents. Develops project plans for submitting proposals.    
            
     RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Initiates, cultivates, and maintains a close working relationship with federal, state, corporate, foundation program officers, congressional offices, reviewing and/or approving agencies, and other potential donors, grantors, and contractors. Attends meetings related to proposal and grants of interest or for maintenance. Works with other institutions, agencies, or organizations in cooperative and/or consortial agreements related to grants. Coordinates certain fundraising efforts with the foundation.
