Job Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurses to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent ED RN experience in a hospital with a minimum of 250 beds, preferably a Level II Trauma Center. The ED is a fast-paced environment with a high volume of daily visits. As an ED RN, you will be responsible for providing excellent care to both adult and pediatric patients. This is a challenging yet rewarding position where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients.
Position Duties:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Assess patients' conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to codes and emergencies in various areas of the hospital, including the parking lot.
- Triage patients and prioritize care based on their acuity level.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Position Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent ED RN experience in a hospital with at least 250 beds, preferably a Level II Trauma Center.
- Licenses: Must have a valid NM State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Certifications: AHA BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
- Patient Population: Expect to see adult and pediatric patients.
- General Notes: The ED is a fast-paced environment with a high volume of daily visits. It is equipped with a Chest Pain Center and is in the process of becoming a Stroke Center. ED RNs will respond to codes on the 1st floor and in the parking lot. Triage will be performed in the room. ED RNs may also take care of ED Hold patients.
