Additionally, Grants/Proposal Writer may participate in the negotiation of contractual provisions with potential partners. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. ELOS is seeking a well-rounded Grants writer and administrator with the following qualifications and experience:
Research and identify potential grant funding opportunities on various platforms.
Develop and write grant proposals, including budgets and supporting documents.
Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to gather necessary information for grant applications
Manage compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines
Maintain a database of grants, including tracking progress and outcomes
Conduct prospect research to identify new funding sources
Assist in the development of program budgets and financial reports for grant applications. This may include data calls to outside resources.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in a nonprofit or government setting
Strong technical writing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
Knowledge of strategic planning and program development principles
Proficient in conducting research and gathering data to support grant proposals
Familiarity with contract and financial report writing
Experience using fundraising databases, such as Raiser's Edge, is a plus
Ability to edit and proofread documents for accuracy and clarity
Holds certification and training in grants management
