Knowledge of color, composition, typography, digital design and production management. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Graphic Design Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Because of our growth, we are seeking an experienced Graphic Design Intern in the Dayton, OH area.

     

    This position will participate in the design and modification of internal and external communications materials distributed by the MarCom department. May support other departments as needed and appropriate. Reports to the Communications Director. Located near Dayton, Columbus, or Cincinnati and work from the Dayton office at least once a week.

    Responsibilities

    The graphic design intern will support both internal and external communications across the firm. Anticipated projects and learning opportunities include (but are not limited to):• Redesign marketing materials using inspiration from new assets and materials.• Design event invitations, newsletter graphics, and infographics.• Format PowerPoint presentations.• Assist with graphic asset inventory and maintenance.• Create video thumbnails with titles and eye-catching typography using current design trends as inspiration. • Create various webpages using defined templates.

    Qualifications

Apply if you think this can be a good fit.• Enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university.• Pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual arts, advertising, web development, or related field.• Experienced in graphic design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.• Experienced in Microsoft PowerPoint.• Experience in WordPress and video editing desired but not required.
