Job Summary:  The Graphic Design / Multimedia Specialist’s role is to showcase innovative design concepts, a deep understanding of visual communication, and a passion for creating compelling graphics across various mediums. Proficiency in graphics, social media, and strong videography skills is a prerequisite. The Graphic Design Specialist will play a key role in developing and executing design solutions that meet the needs of customers and elevate brand identity.

Qualifications:  

Education/Training:

Bachelor Degree or required license

Prefer Master Degree in related field 

Experience:

At least 5 years of related experience.

Must have online portfolio with prior projects to showcase experience

Knowledge / Skills:

Expertise in industry-standard software, such as Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in design execution

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Create high-quality, engaging designs for internal and external customers for a variety of projects, including print, digital assets, and branding materials.
2. Develop catalogs, booklets, banners, and other printed materials for internal customers to distribute to districts enrolled in various cooperatives.
3. Develop various printed materials for external customers that meet client expectations, including event and sports programs, banners, posters, spirals, and more.
4. Plan, shoot, and edit a variety of video content, including: promotional videos, interviews, event coverage, and social media content.
5. High proficiency in the operation of video, lighting, and audio equipment to capture professional-quality footage.
6. Conduct interviews and direct talent to achieve optimal material to produce videos.
7. Enhance advertisements with motion graphics and audio to elevate the final product. 
8. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
9. Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team in annual planning / development of new products for internal and external customers and various events throughout the year.
10. Seek continuing education / professional development opportunities to improve skills, techniques, and technologies to constantly expand products and services offered.
11. Collaborate with Communications team to host monthly meetings with Department Ambassadors to provide updates on products and services offered and/or changing within the ESC.
12. Work closely with districts to develop various materials needed for their upcoming events, bonds, or trainings.
13. Participate in the creation of the annual contract book, marketing materials, and event planning for the ESC showcase day.
14. Stay updated on current education and public relations events to inform effective communication strategies.
15. Provide support for major Region 7 ESC conferences and significant events.
16. Primary contact and liaison for the design of promotional items ordered by internal and external customers.
