The Information Resources Technology Department at St. Ambrose University has an immediate opening for an energetic individual to provide Tier I/II helpdesk/desktop support for faculty, staff and students. Serves as first point of contact and provides routine support and resolution of technical problems for University computers, faculty, staff and students. Assists with the installation and set-up of office and classroom equipment; assists with the print management system; and assists with the supervision of student employees. Qualified candidates possess strong customer service skills, experience in troubleshooting technology, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact well in a team environment. The position requires a Bachelors degree or 4 years experience in computer related field. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, and group policy; demonstrated experience troubleshooting hardware and software are required. Person holding the position must be available to work evening and weekend hours as needed. Preference will be given to those with extensive knowledge of Microsoft productivity suites, Macintosh operating systems, and multi-media technologies.
