Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments to grind angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc. on to surfaces. Being a Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Grinder works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - Perform hand operations such as filing, burring, cleaning, disc grinding, etc.
- Use related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharp edges or corners.
- Smooth seams, joints or burred surfaces, using grinding or buffing wheels.
- Assists production operators.
- Move and transport raw material and finished product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a production sheet metal environment
- Ability to use basic hand tools, including standard sheet metal fabrication tools, including calipers and gages
- Basic math skills
Work hours:Monday - Thursday, 3:30 pm - 2:00 amPay:$17-$19/hour, depending on experience - 16 Days Ago
