Grinder operates grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to established blueprint and engineering specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments to grind angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc. on to surfaces. Being a Grinder requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Grinder works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Position Description
We have our own tool grind shop with 3 Walter CNC Grind machines, as well as manual grind operations, position is for Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:00pm
Position Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years machinist experience.
Experience with manual cutter grinding required and CNC grinding operation a plus.
Ability needs to be proficient at OD, radius and end grinding high-speed, carbide on finish cutters and crest cut/wave cut. Form cutters, reamers and drills a plus.
Qualifications
Education and Experience - Aerospace industry experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED required. Apprenticeship graduate or technical degree helpful.
2 Years experience required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to life, push, pull, carry:
Regularly: Up to 10 lbs
Occasionally: Up to 20 lbs
Lifting assistance required: Over 50 lbs
