Grocery Store Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of a grocery store. Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. 1. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all associates provide the same, always.
2. Direct employees during peak and slow traffic periods to keep productivity at peak levels.
3. Resolve customer and employee concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.
4. Oversee the warehouse and repair room areas of the store.
5. Oversee the sales floor area of the store.
6. Responsible for ordering Ace and direct order merchandise, as necessary.
7. Provide training necessary to develop employees the ability to grow within our company.
8. Responsible for assigned employees to include daily duties and projects. This includes employee monitoring and evaluating.
9. Maintain a high level of housekeeping throughout the entire store.
10. Authorize returns.
11. Arrange for and participate in store meetings.
12. Introduce new items to store inventory.
13. Monitor shrinkage and theft and recommend ways to reduce theft and loss in the store.
14. Assist with the display of merchandise throughout the store for maximum sales.
15. Work 45-50 hours per week to include every other weekend and one evening per week.
16. Some hardware experience necessary.
