Grocery Store Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of a grocery store. Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. Being a Grocery Store Manager ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Additionally, Grocery Store Manager forecasts staffing needs and develops a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Grocery Store Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Grocery Store Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. It's up to you to make your store a success. Don’t worry! In order to prepare you for success, we will provide a 3 or more weeks of store leadership training program.

    Desired Skills & Experience:
    • High school diploma required
    • Flexibility to work in a store within a 50-mile radius
    • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
    • Food Safety: Serve Safe certified
    ADA Statement:
    While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
