Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Additionally, Grocery Store Manager forecasts staffing needs and develops a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Grocery Store Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
