Status: Full-time Temp to Hire
Typical Work Schedule: 7:00 A.M.- 3:30 P.M. M-F

The College of Idaho is currently seeking customer service, team minded professionals to join the Facilities
department in the roll of Groundskeeper. The ideal candidate will have some hands-on experience and knowledge
in the safe operation of grounds keeping equipment, be dependable, self-motivated and want to be vital part of the
Facilities Department team.

Duties include:
• Perform regular and directed grounds and landscape maintenance in a safe and undistracted manner by

mowing lawns with riding or push mowers; trimming and edging around trees, shrubs, ground cover, flowers,

sidewalks and buildings; weeding, thinning and cleaning flower beds and other grounds by hand or utilizing

proper tools and equipment.

• Ensure that grounds maintenance equipment and building maintenance equipment are operational by

performing routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment and machines within

reasonable capabilities.

• Depending on experience, assist in the repairs and replacement of parts and components of the sprinkler

systems.

• Contribute to the overall success of the campus by performing all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English.
• Adhere to guidelines, performance standards and policies
• Follow proper safety procedures (i.e. wear safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc. these will be provided)
• Possess a strong work ethic and unquestioned personal integrity
