Groundskeeper jobs in Chattanooga, TN

The Center for Advanced Rehab at Parkside is seeking a dedicated and reliable Groundskeeper to join our team.

As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of our grounds and outdoor areas. This is a hands-on position that requires knowledge of landscape maintenance and the ability to operate both hand and power tools.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general grounds keeping duties to ensure the cleanliness and attractiveness of the property
- Maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas by mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and planting
- Operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, trimmers, and pruners
- Utilize power tools such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers
- Irrigate lawns and plants as needed
- Remove debris and litter from outdoor areas
- Assist with the setup and takedown of outdoor events or activities
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:
- Previous experience in grounds keeping or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and practices
- Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

• nursing home or hospital: 1 year (Required)
