Groundskeeper cuts and maintains lawns and grass. Rakes leaves and cares for plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Being a Groundskeeper determines the appropriate plants or shrubs for walkways or garden areas. Provides grounds maintenance in all seasons. Additionally, Groundskeeper is responsible for snow and dirt removal. Keeps the grounds and environment of a facility in a clean, attractive, orderly, safe, and healthy condition. Operates light trucks and assorted power equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment. May require horticultural training. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Groundskeeper works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. We are currently seeking a groundskeeper for our 200 acre private estate in Berwyn, PA, for full time seasonal work (April to December). The groundskeeper will report to the Property Manager to assist in performing landscaping tasks, maintaining the buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds. This is to include but not limited to:
- Mowing lawns
- Landscape work – trimming hedges, bushes, shrubs and weeding
- Landscape improvements
- Raking Leaves
- Operating equipment
- Servicing equipment
We are looking for someone with experience in these areas with strong work habits and a passion for what they do. Mechanic skills are preferred but not necessary.
