Grounds/Maintenance; Job Summary Introduction

Job Description

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Groundskeeper/Gardener to maintain and enhance the grounds and gardens of our facility. The ideal candidate will have intermediate experience in groundskeeping and gardening, and be knowledgeable in the use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and enhancing the grounds and gardens of our facility.
• Planting, cultivating, and pruning trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Mowing, edging, and trimming lawns.
• Pressure washing walkways and pavilions.
• Removing weeds and debris from gardens and grounds.
• Applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as needed.
• Operating and maintaining power tools and equipment.
• Repairing and maintaining walkways, fencing, and other outdoor structures.
• Inspecting and maintaining irrigation systems and sprinklers.
• Assisting with the installation of new landscape features.
• Setting up and taking down tables, chairs, (etc.) for special events.
• Responding to requests from staff and customers.
• Completing daily maintenance logs.
• Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Intermediate experience in groundskeeping and gardening.
• Knowledge of plants and plant care.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
