Group Branch Manager manages the financial and service performance of a defined group of retail branches in a geographic area. Establishes the strategy, specific goals, and performance levels required for each branch to meet the organizational objectives for the region.     POSITION PURPOSE:

    Lead the Future of North Wind Solutions Software Team:
    Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Application Services (EAS), this position empowers you to be the driving force behind the development and leadership of North Wind Solutions' exceptional software engineers and developers. You'll not only help shape their individual growth, but also assist them in driving technical innovations that propel the Hanford Site Cleanup Mission and other North Wind software engineering initiatives forward. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of your team members and for collaborating with Project Managers, stakeholders, and customers to ensure that projects have sufficient resources with the right knowledge, skills, and experience. The position entails managing a diverse team of software engineers and developers that are primarily remote.

    Ensure Responsible Operations:

    • Interviewing and Hiring: Collaborate with management and software engineers to conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring decisions.
    • Mentoring and Coaching: Provide valued guidance and support to team members and staff, helping them develop their skills and achieve their goals.
    • Conducting Performance Reviews: Regularly evaluate employee performance, providing immediate constructive feedback, identifying both areas of excellence and areas for improvement.
    • Manage timekeeping processes and approvals accurately, ensuring staff is adhering to all established policies and procedures.
    • Ensure all necessary staff training is completed in a timely manner.



    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


    Education and Experience:

    • Education: A BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related IT field is necessary. Alternatively, equivalent years of relevant experience can be considered.
    • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in a leadership role within the field of Information Technology.
    • Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication skills, effectively engaging with staff, management, peers, and customers.


    Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to motivate software engineers and developers in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Ability to manage a diverse team of primarily remote direct-reports.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with customers, senior leadership, stakeholders, and project managers to facilitate project resource assignments.
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
    • Support a staff of technical subject matter experts during nonstandard business hours as needed.
    • Lifelong learner and teacher who is adaptable and able to thrive in the face of challenges.
    • Passionate about clear and open communication with strong follow-up skills in all communication mediums.

    Special Requirements:

    While on the job, the employee will spend extended periods seated in an office setting, but will also need to stand, walk, and engage in verbal communication.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    This position is in a remote first environment however this role may require limited time in the office. Work is performed within a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
