Project Manager – Airport Commercial Building - Reno, NV

Conrac Solutions seeks an experienced Project Manager familiar with the oversight of large scale civil construction projects. This position is part of the Project Delivery team that focuses on the pursuit and closure of design, build, finance, operate and maintain (DBFOM) real estate and development deals with airports, rental car companies and other entities.

The Project Manager acts as the primary onsite developer representative for the RNO project and is the main point of contact for the general contractor, airport authority, and clients. Working as part of support team, the project manager is expected to solve problems and manage resources to bring the project to successful completion.

This position is expected to be on site in Reno for 1-2 weeks per month through project completion (5 years).

Duties:

• Directs, monitors, and inspects the progress of airport landside construction projects and more
• Initiates and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders
• Manages the general contractor throughout the project lifecycle
• Creates action plans to meet construction contract requirements, budget and schedule variances.
• Reviews and processes Requests for Information (RFIs) for compliance with the contract documents.

· Analyzes change proposals and makes recommendations on acceptance, modification or rejection of proposals.

• Works with the accounting team to track project pay requests, invoicing, change orders and control soft costs and contingencies against the project budget.
• Participates in all construction meetings including leading meetings and drafting agendas.
• Prepares periodic reports of project status
• Manages and coordinates tenant improvement work through funded change order(s).
• Supports the facility operation team after project turnover, including tracking warranty and punch list items.
• Travel as necessary for off-site quality inspections and verification of stored materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Project management certification preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive responsibility managing civil construction projects.
• Ability to be in Reno for a minimum of 1 week
• Exceptional people skills and working with diverse technical and non-technical participants.
• Ability to work onsite in Reno for 1-2 weeks per month for the next 5 years.
• Comprehensive knowledge of large-scale civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety principles and practices.
• Considerable knowledge of budgeting and proposal processes.
• Considerable knowledge of PC operations and software are required. Proficient typing skills are also required.
