Description

        As a Loan Underwriter at our headquarters in Norwell, MA, you will impact radius through a range of duties. Our Loan Underwriters are continuously looking to improve the quality of our processes and products. We depend on our Loan Underwriters to pay strict attention to detail, and to communicate clearly and effectively, particularly in a team setting. Maintain a pipeline of loans with efficiency.

Duties.

• Ensure each loan meets investor/agency guidelines.
• Ensure all federal and applicable state compliance regulations are met.
• Ensure all RESPA guidelines are met with respect to the Truth in Lending and GFE; that all GFE Change of Circumstances are in compliance.
• Collect outstanding underwriting and/or closing conditions.
• Ensure all mortgage commitment and closing dates are met, as well as any post-closing conditions that must be satisfied.
• Become and maintain familiarity with the company loan products, application process, consumer disclosure requirements, POS Origination Software and general business practices of the company.
• Possess a high comfort level accessing real-time investor seller and GSE guides to ensure top notch loan quality and loan sale-ability on the secondary market.
• Directly work/communicate with processing and production personnel.
• Will have close interaction with the closing and funding staff as well as the post-closing department to facilitate investor purchase on the secondary market.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance or related field - preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years underwriting experience - DE/LAPP a very big plus.
• Knowledge of RESPA and MDIA regulations.
• VA LAPP Delegations preferred.
• All employees are responsible for being familiar with and able to recognize common fraud scenarios or outright instances of fraud and reporting any reasonably suspected fraud to his/her direct manager and the AML Officer.
