    This opportunity is being offered by National Aerospace Solutions, the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee.  National Aerospace Solutions is a limited liability company comprised of Bechtel National Inc. (as lead company) and Sierra Lobo Inc. with teaming Subcontractors nLogic Inc. and Chugach Federal Solutions Inc. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization and an important national resource.

    AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, ground, and flight test.  Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.


    Job Summary:
    The successful candidate must be passionate about security and will function as the Industrial Security Operations Group Manager for the NAS Security Branch. This position is responsible for management of Industrial Security personnel tasked with meeting Test Operations and Sustainment (TOS) contract mission security requirements. This position will work closely with the NAS Facility Security Officer (FSO) to implement company level policies, procedures and processes that meet government requirements and are congruent with company level strategic objectives. Extensive and effective coordination with the NAS FSO, company management, Combined Test Forces (CTFs), Air Force security management, and AEDC Customer representatives will be critical.


    Job Duties:
    • Responsible for supervision and line management of Industrial Security personnel.
    • Lead and support planning and work coordination activities including interfacing with internal/external customers and support organizations; develop and coordinate estimates and schedules with various interfacing teams.
    • Provide Industrial Security-related direction, requirements, and oversight in support of the execution and delivery of capital improvement, maintenance, and required test operations projects.
    • Develop, track, and report contract-related metrics and cost/schedule delivery measures.
    • Lead the development and use of common work processes and procedures within the section.
    • Responsible for employee performance-management activities to include goal setting, goal tracking, employee development, and employee performance evaluation.
    • Establish staffing requirements necessary to meet mission requirements.
    • Ensure personnel have appropriate training and certifications as required by Government regulations.
    • Ensure mentorship of junior staff.
    • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
    • Perform other related duties as required.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Baccalaureate degree in related field and a minimum of 10 years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional progressive and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
    • Current U. S. citizenship is required.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Completed FSO certification courses through the DISA Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE).
    • Active SECRET Clearance, eligible for TOP SECRET Clearance.
    • Familiarity with AEDC test facilities.
    • National Security related security experience.
    • Security related experience with Special Access Programs (SAP).
    • Security related experience with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
    • Skilled at building and maintaining personnel relationships.
    • Skilled at written and oral communication.
    • Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced technical staff.
