Being a Groupware Specialist implements hardware or software, troubleshoots, and may train end-users. Typically oversees internet access, document sharing, email or other messaging systems. Additionally, Groupware Specialist coordinates with end-users to define needs or areas for improvement. Ensures that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing networks. Provides technical support, troubleshooting and training on groupware systems and makes suggestions regarding future groupware needs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Groupware Specialist typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. We are now looking for an EHSQ Specialist. The successful candidate will support the East Chicago, IN plant in meeting EHSQ targets, to ensure safe and environmentally responsible operations for our employees and the community.
They will maintain compliance with Federal, State, Municipal and Corporate regulations and develop, implement, monitor and manage all environmental, health and safety, and quality procedures and programs to continuously improve operations.
They will work actively to support employees on day-to-day issues and provide training of employees as required.
In this role you will be responsible for :
Leading a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance through procedure development, auditing, and document management, and act as the principal contact with local regulators for site safety and environmental compliance.
This includes advising plant management on various regulatory requirements and completing all site and regulatory reporting in a timely manner.
Stay updated with corporate EHSQ standards, implementing improvements and training personnel on modifications.
Managing the emergency response program and medical monitoring initiatives in line with corporate guidelines and the plant Integrated Contingency Plan.
Develop site Industrial Hygiene protocol and supervise its execution, including coordinating the personal protective equipment program.
Leading the plant's waste minimization and Behavioral Safety Programs, focusing on sustainable options and positive reinforcement.
Collaborate with production teams to review and improve health, safety, environmental, and quality processes, including performing hands-on laboratory work as backup for the Senior Lab Technician when needed.
Any other duties as assigned.
