Guest Services Manager jobs in Asheville, NC

Guest Services Manager is responsible for managing concierge services and operations. Ensures concierge services help guests with reservations, travel arrangements, and suggestions for attractions or activities. Being a Guest Services Manager coaches concierge staff in customer service, and handles escalated customer service issues as needed. Monitors staff scheduling and shifts. Additionally, Guest Services Manager coordinates with hotel departments to deliver customer satisfaction and resolve problems. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Guest Services Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Guest Services Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Schedule:

    Part time and full time staff work 8 hour shifts based on business need and staff availability…

    • Lodge Opening Shift: 6:30 am - 2:30 pm
    • Lodge Closing Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm
    • Cabin Cleaning Shift: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

    Cabin Cleaning Shift Job Duties:

    • Clean bathrooms, floors, windows, mini-fridges, and surfaces
    • Make beds
    • Remove garbage and dirty laundry
    • Restock amenities
    • General organization and tidying up

    Lodge Opening/Closing Shift Job Duties:

    • Make recommendations to guests on places to go and things to do in Asheville/WNC
    • Engage with customers/guests
    • Handle retail sales transactions
    • Prepare coffee drinks for guests/customers
    • Complete various lodge opening / closing tasks
    • Wash and fold laundry
    • Clean cafe, conference room and event space as needed
    • Chop and restock firewood
    • Prepare / light communal campfires
    • Light property maintenance

    Compensations & Benefits:

    • Starting pay is $16-17/hr tips
    • 1.5x holiday pay (select holidays)

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and your own, reliable transportation
    • Must be able to stand for long periods and climb stairs
    • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs
