JOB SUMMARY
The Front Office Manager will provide guidance to all associates to ensure they are adhering to Breckenridge policies, procedures, standards and regulations. The Front Office Manager will lead and manage team, exhibit excellent problem solving, and decision making skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receive direction from the Unit Manager and assist in the overall management of the unit’s operations. Assist in planning and developing daily operations for Front Desk operations; forecasting and analyzing sales and revenue, labor, and profit; ensuring compliance with established budget; and scheduling, supervising, and participating in the operational duties specific to the unit.

Develop, train, mentor and lead the front desk team through daily interaction as well as monthly one-on-ones, 90 day and annual reviews; Organize and lead staff meetings at the beginning of each busy season

Responsible for covering front desk callouts and other absences; be available to assist FD issues when not at work

Develop, implement, maintain and monitor a standardized training manual/SOP and all daily check lists for front desk

Manage our Guest Folio account, replying as needed to all reviewers; assist as needed with responding to online reviews (Google, TA, Yelp, Facebook, General Inquires) with a focus at checkout for our team to ask for these reviews

Coordinate and manage the creation and updating of Summer and Winter Activities binders for guests

Assist Housekeeping or Restaurant as needed – inspections, reporting, cleaning / bus, host during busy times

Revenue management – assist in rate changes, promo creations and training of team to “hook” all sales
EOM duties, such as:credit card reconciliation, inventories, funds control logs, commissions, house invoices, etc.

Offer new and creative ideas to drive demand in low periods and assist in implementing these

Guest Relations – talking to guests throughout the day, supporting upset guests, finding resolutions to all issues, verbal and written reply’s to guest feedback both positive & negative, ensuring all our guests have a wonderful experience and are looking forward to coming back. CREATE THE WOW!

Participate in daily/weekly meetings and reports; Submit a daily recap report to AGM
- Attend mixers, Destination Colorado events, trade shows, job fairs, Welcome Center and community events in order to drive business

Train and participate in housekeeping, F&B, sales and maintenance departments in order to continue to learn and develop across all areas – Assist in managing shuttle drivers, F&B Front of House, Night Houseman, etc

Coordinate as needed with all departments of the hotel, truly working as one team

Respond promptly to all emails and requests from both guests and staff; Utilize professional and precise verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with all team members as well as our guests and management

Corporate – Marketing/IT requests and working with accounting and CenRes managers
Social Media – posting weekly new pics and driving more likes – Agorapulse

- Maintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit’s equipment, housekeeping, sanitation, dress, cash control, and employee hygiene. Notify Unit Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.

Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times. Maintain and enhance the company’s image when interacting with clients, guests, associates, and vendors.

Perform unit opening and or closing procedures.

Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree or related customer service experience preferred.

Clerical skills including typing, filing, office machine operations, cash register operation, maintenance of records, and the ability to undertake multiple tasks simultaneously.

Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to learn and develop new skills; ability to problem solve.

Ability to arrange and coordinate schedules for reservations.

Excellent interpersonal, administrative, telephone and other communications skills.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.

Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.

Reading and writing work-related documents in English.

Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.

Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment.
