Guest Services Manager is responsible for managing concierge services and operations. Ensures concierge services help guests with reservations, travel arrangements, and suggestions for attractions or activities. Being a Guest Services Manager coaches concierge staff in customer service, and handles escalated customer service issues as needed. Monitors staff scheduling and shifts. Additionally, Guest Services Manager coordinates with hotel departments to deliver customer satisfaction and resolve problems. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Guest Services Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Guest Services Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Bluff's Landing Marina & Lodge is looking for a bright personality to join their growing team as an Events Coordinator, as well as to support our overall Guest Services and Marketing. We are located in Flour Bluff, on 4242 Laguna Shores Road. Our ideal candidate will be full of enthusiasm and always willing to go above and beyond to offer exceptional service to our guests and visitors.
Responsibilities
*Be the main point-of-contact for all events happening at Bluff's Landing Marina & Lodge. *Identify the client’s requirements and expectations for each event. *Liaise with both the client and the internal team during the event planning process to ensure everything is coordinated. *Manage and coordinate all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes. *Maintain an internal event project management system (Asana), internal events calendar and relevant budgets - both internal and external. *Coordinate all rentals, equipment, or other additional requests made by the guest or client. *Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the client’s standards and be the main POC on the day of the event. *Assess an event’s overall success and submit findings for potential improvements. *Assist with Guest Services & Marketing where necessary - taking reservations, liaising with guests, monitoring emails and phone calls and helping with social media.
Qualifications
*Preferably, at least 2 years’ experience as an event coordinator. If you do not have the skillset, but have the willingness and aptitude to learn, we can provide training for the right candidate. *Organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities. *Outstanding client and guest management skills. *Strong communication and interpersonal skills. *Working knowledge of how to use IT platforms; comfortable with a computer, email, office etc.

We appreciate team members who are able to utilize apps and software used within the department. *Able to take instruction, think on your feet, be flexible and willing to learn. *Good timekeeping is a must, as well as a proactive nature.
Hours / Salary
The successful candidate will have flexible working hours, but must be able to work weekends, evenings and early mornings when an applicable event is taking place. Outside of events, the hours will be largely standard office hours. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
