Guest Services Manager jobs in Queens Village, NY

Guest Services Manager is responsible for managing concierge services and operations. Ensures concierge services help guests with reservations, travel arrangements, and suggestions for attractions or activities. Being a Guest Services Manager coaches concierge staff in customer service, and handles escalated customer service issues as needed. Monitors staff scheduling and shifts. Additionally, Guest Services Manager coordinates with hotel departments to deliver customer satisfaction and resolve problems. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Guest Services Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Guest Services Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS NEEDED: Proven customer service skills and Excellent communication skills

    • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

    • Able to follow a planned roster and follow a work schedule

    • Associate Degree or equivalent preferred


    SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:

    • Help improve customer service experience at JFK.
    • Project a clear and concise voice and fluent in English.

    • Answer calls and make announcements as requested.

    • Provide accurate information in regards to terminal/airport services in a welcoming, hospitable manner.

    • Actively promote retail and food and beverage offerings in the terminal




    Required Skills


    • PREVIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE
    • At least 18yrs old, with a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • English proficient, other languages may be required
    • Terminal and Airport operations knowledge and experience preferred
    • Retail and/or Hospitality work experience required
    • Able to stand 3-4 at a time
    • Reading & comprehension of reference materials, instructions, policies & procedures

    • Valid US work authorization
    • Professional demeanor and exceptional presentation
    • Flexible schedule & availability
    • Background Check, Fingerprinting required
    • Drug Screen required prior to the day of hire
