Position Summary:
The Guest Services Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Event Services. This position works to ensure a great guest experience for all events held on campus and supports Administrative Operations.

Duties will include:

• Hiring, scheduling, and supervising guest service staff/building attendant staff
• Providing logistical support for events
• Developing guest services policies and manuals
• Utilizing databases
• Overseeing front of the house operations
• Implementing crowd control
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

2 years work experience that includes all the following:

• Leading/supervising staff
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to adapt to changes and work in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Use of common office computer applications
• Providing customer service

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Business Administration or Hospitality Management or 4 years experience in guest services
• Understanding of event production
• Working knowledge and good understanding public access policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet definitive timeline goals on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working in a university setting hiring, scheduling, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating staff
• Ability to identify areas in need of change or improvement to better the guest experience
• Working with minimum supervision
