Being a Guest Services Manager coaches concierge staff in customer service, and handles escalated customer service issues as needed. Monitors staff scheduling and shifts. Responsibilities:
Guest Reception: Greet guests with a genuine smile, welcoming them to the restaurant and ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Manage the reservation book, coordinate walk-in seating, and assist guests with any inquiries or special requests.
Reservation Management: Efficiently manage reservations, ensuring accurate booking details and timely communication with guests. Organize table assignments to optimize the dining room's flow and accommodate guest preferences.
Seating and Accommodation: Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and explaining any daily specials or features. Cater to guest preferences and any specific seating requirements, always striving to exceed expectations.
Waiting Area Maintenance: Keep the waiting area clean, organized, and comfortable for guests, providing them with a pleasant environment while they wait for their table.
Coordination with Service Team: Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to manage the flow of guests and ensure timely seating and service. Communicate with the service team about special requests, VIP guests, and any notable information.
Guest Information: Answer incoming calls and respond to guest inquiries, providing accurate information about the restaurant's offerings, hours, and policies. Share knowledge about the restaurant's history, concept, and menu items to enhance the guest experience.
Upselling and Promotion: Inform guests about any ongoing promotions, special events, or menu highlights that may enhance their dining experience. Promote loyalty programs or membership benefits to encourage repeat visits.
Respect for Ambiance: Maintain a quiet and calm demeanor in the dining area, respecting the upscale ambiance of the restaurant. Ensure that noise levels are controlled and that guests can enjoy their conversations.
Guest Relations: Build positive relationships with regular guests, recognizing them by name and anticipating their preferences. Address any guest concerns or complaints professionally and promptly, involving management as needed.
