Overview

Minden aerospace manufacturer is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Control team as a Quality Control Inspector. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, ensuring they meet established standards and specifications.

Salary

Starting at $22 per hour

Benefits

Schedule

The regular schedule is 8 am to 4:40 pm, Monday to Friday. Some mandatory overtime expected, including Saturdays on occasion.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Verify the accuracy of production documentation, including inspection reports and test results
• Collaborate with production and engineering personnel to resolve quality issues in a timely manner
• Check for any defects, such as cracks, chips, or other problems
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial gauges, and height gauges to inspect product dimensions
• Train to use Leica Laser Tracker and Romer Arm using Verisurf software
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspection results and findings
• Perform root cause analysis to identify and eliminate the source of quality issues
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive quality excellence
• Comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve quality issues
• Basic knowledge of quality control principles and techniques
• Familiarity with Solidworks, ISO 9001, and AS9100 helpful
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motions
