HR Data Analyst supports the design, deployment, and administration of operational processes used to deliver HR programs and projects. Collaborates with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR program implementations and initiatives like compensation, benefits, performance management, or training. Being an HR Data Analyst implements scalable methodologies and tools to optimize HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, and others that make up the employment life-cycle. Performs employee data management and analysis processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations. Additionally, HR Data Analyst prepares and delivers required reporting and filings. May be responsible for the coordination of HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The HR Data Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     The Cyber Security Analyst assists in developing materials (SOPs, manuals, standards, policies, procedures, etc.) regarding the InfoCyber Security industry's best practices. They are required to review, improve, and approve technical work, manage junior analysts, and teach junior staff. The SOC Analyst is responsible for monitoring and using a suite of security tools, products, and services centered on Security Operations and MSSP offerings in network security engineering, security risk management, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, incident investigation and response, and Cyber breaches. They will be an analyst resource for the Security Operations team and provide technical assistance in the monitoring and use of all the GDS security offerings and technologies, both internal to GDS and its clients.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Fill the role of event and incident response. They are tasked with reviewing and responding to cases and tickets escalated by junior analysts.
    • Responsible for reviewing and vetting incoming threat intelligence and responding accordingly to the SOC team.
    • Monitor and use available security systems, platforms, and tools to monitor, support, and troubleshoot GDS corporate, its MSS offerings, and its clients.
    • Responsible for the monitoring and use of various security systems, including but not limited to SIEM, SOAR, TIP, NDR, CAASM, MDR, vulnerability, and RISK management platforms.
    • Assist in vulnerability and risk analysis, including the research, detection, analysis, and mitigation of malware.
    • Responsible for staying current at all times in the security field.
    • Communicate and collaborate with GDS staff to support all GDS and client security operations and MSS functions.
    • Assist security operations on software, system, and network infrastructure projects.
    • Identify security issues and vulnerabilities and provide required reporting, notification, and guidance to GDS and Clients.
    • Perform security incident response and assist with incident investigations in GDS and Client environment.
    • Create and maintain high-quality documentation for security operations
    • Assist in defining, developing, deploying, and troubleshooting security offerings that incorporate the latest security technologies and best practices to ensure that GDS and our clients receive the best possible security services and solutions.
    • Assist in building and reviewing security operations documentation, procedures, and playbooks for all security offerings.
    • Assist with the development of incident response plans, workflows, policies, and SOPs
    • Conduct SIEM (Security Information Event Management) monitoring and IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection System/Intrusion Prevention System) monitoring.
    • Ensure that required communication with customers regarding events, incidents, threats, breaches, containment, and vulnerability remediation is appropriately performed and documented.
    • Provide reports for internal and external use as directed
    • Other duties as assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
    • Two-year technical degree (or equivalent certifications with experience) in IT/networking and or InfoCyber Security, a minimum of 1 year of networking experience, IT support, and IT operations experience; OR an equivalent combination of degree/certification and experience
    • Familiarity with network attack tactics, attack signatures, defense countermeasures, vulnerability management, log analysis, and incident response.
    • Familiarity with networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, and associated protocols)
    • Familiarity with tools and best practices in advanced persistent threats; tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of attackers; and forensics and incident response
    • Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches promptly while understanding business impact.
    • SIEM Experience (preferably Alienvault) and SOAR experience (preferably Siemplify)
    • Familiarity with Cisco products
    • One or more of the following certifications or equivalents required training:
    o Any of the GIAC Certs (GCIH, GISF, GCIA, GCTI, GCDA)
    o Any of the Ecouncil certs (CEH, ECSA, CNDA, ECIH, CHFI)
    o Cisco certifications
    o CompTIA
    • Must possess maturity, good judgment, negotiation/influence, analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solving, and leadership skills
    • Think critically and creatively while analyzing security events, network traffic, and logs to suggest new detection methods
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
    • Ability to understand complex wiring diagrams and installation instructions, ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to assign tasks and workflows to work crews to maximize the efficiency of the work.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
