HR Data Analyst supports the design, deployment, and administration of operational processes used to deliver HR programs and projects. Collaborates with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR program implementations and initiatives like compensation, benefits, performance management, or training. Being an HR Data Analyst implements scalable methodologies and tools to optimize HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, and others that make up the employment life-cycle. Performs employee data management and analysis processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations. Additionally, HR Data Analyst prepares and delivers required reporting and filings. May be responsible for the coordination of HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The HR Data Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Data Analyst (FA011) in University Analytics. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for University Analytics and alongside the Senior Data Analyst, this position supports the office's mission of championing a data-driven campus culture. The ideal candidate will possess a general comfort with technology as a tool to foster curiosity about the work we do in higher education. This position will assist with the development of data management processes for reporting and analysis related to institutional decision-making and external reporting requirements. Specific responsibilities include data file creation and automation for required external reporting as well as internal data requests. The position will also make suggestions to constituents that seek to ensure data integrity, data quality, and issue resolution. The ability to communicate effectively and work with non-technical faculty and staff is essential as is the ability to work collaboratively as a team member. The incumbent also must be able to organize, take initiative, prioritize their work and adjust priorities as necessary.
