HR Data Analyst, Sr. supports the design, deployment, and administration of operational processes used to deliver HR programs and projects. Collaborates with stakeholders to provide consultation, process design, and project management of HR program implementations and initiatives like compensation, benefits, performance management, or training. Being an HR Data Analyst, Sr. implements scalable methodologies and tools to optimize HR operations and streamline core processes like onboarding, hiring, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, and others that make up the employment life-cycle. Performs employee data management and analysis processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations. Additionally, HR Data Analyst, Sr. prepares and delivers required reporting and filings. May be responsible for the coordination of HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The HR Data Analyst, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Job Summary:

    Responsible for creating an environment of data information availability, consistency, and clarity to support the business performance and activity management of internal customers. Provides value added services through the generation of reports and analyses that help inform leadership with accurate, insightful, and actionable data. Provides recommendations for continuous improvement in data, format, and accessibility to maximize knowledge and decision making based on the information available. Promotes high quality reports and analyses that support improvement initiatives and strategic priorities. Promotes data literacy, prioritizes requests, maintains timelines, and helps to ensure the accuracy and validity of data. Other duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

    A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience with analytically challenging projects in IT or healthcare analytics that includes programming (SQL or comparable) and reporting design (Business Objects, Crystal Reports MicroStrategy, Microsoft Analytic Services, SAS, SSIS, MS SQL Reporting Server, McKesson, etc.) is required.

    Experience in a customer facing role (internal or external) is required.

    Experience developing functional and technical specifications is required.

    Project Management experience is required.

    10 years of directly related experience is preferred.

    Health care reporting experience is highly preferred.

    EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

    Knowledge of computer principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors degree in a relevant technology field or acquired through a combination of education and experience is required.

    Bachelors degree in Finance, Analytics, Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or Business is preferred.

    SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

    Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following: quantitative analysis, financial analysis, budget analysis, information systems, project management, organizational development or new business development.

    Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

    Working knowledge of datamarts and data warehouse.

    Demonstrated ability presenting to small work groups on both technical and functional requirements.

    Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals including executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Ability to conceptualize, document, and communicate solutions to meet business objectives.

    Demonstrated ability to understanding and interpret complex mathematical models /concepts healthcare data and effectively present highly sophisticated analysis and findings.

    Detail oriented with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.

    Demonstrates excellent follow-up skills and the ability to take initiative as well as a proactive problem solving approach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Ability to listen and convey messages in a clear, concise, and empathetic manner using the appropriate communication medium.

    Team oriented with good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and customers.

    Comfortable providing input and alternate views in a healthy, constructive way.

    LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

    Epic Systems Reporting Training and/or Certification is preferred.
