The Sr. Regional HR Manager is responsible for managing the regional HR functions and driving positive employee relations within the region, to comply with local/national regulations, ensure adherence to HR guidelines/policy, and ultimately meet the objectives of the business unit.
What you can look forward to as the Regional HR Manager:
Support in all HR-related carve-out topics such as: liason with ZF as supplier of different TSA´s during the transition-phase, analyze and determine together with plant HR future setup of needed HR systems within the Region North America, support in getting the right suppliers and align the interfaces.
Ability to develop effective recruitment strategies for the region to attract and retain top talent. Skill to coordinate efforts amongst all plants in region. Coordinate, manage and monitor hiring and recruitment processes for the plants including the review of application/resume, the evaluation of applicants’ skills and the recommendation regarding the applicants’ qualifications
Develop and implement resolutions of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries, if advised by HR Manager.
Provide HR services and HR consultation to all employees. Strong interpersonal and top communications skills to foster positive employee relations.
Coordinate and prepare labor (union) issues and guarantee the compliance with legal regulations and ZF policies. In-depth understanding of labor laws for Mexico-US and Canada. Ensure HR policies comply with local regulations and laws. Ensure that supervisors are in compliance with all federal, state and company guidelines. Strong contributor and active participant in all union related strategies and negotiations. Strong understanding of key union members
Realize optimization activities and develop innovative ideas for the specific area of responsibility.
Ability to design and implement training programs to enhance employees skills and capabilities.
Implement key performance strategies, systems and processes. Provide guidance on performance improvements and continued evaluations.
Design competitive compensation strategies that leverage the region while conducting competitive compensation and benefits initiatives. Provide backup for compensation and benefits administration, including the assistance with annual open enrollment and the provision with answers to general benefit questions.
Utilizing HR analytics to make data driven decisions and therefor effective assessments of HR programs in the region
Strong and effective conflict resolution to address and resolve workplace issues while promoting a positive inclusive work environment. In close connection with the environment of each plant and in close alignment to the Plant managers initiatives
Strong communication and collaboration with both employees and leadership, collaborating with other departments/functions seamlessly
Strategic mindset, ability to lead and influence at regional level, superb leadership collaboration, cross cultural competence, problem solving abilities and continues learning
Support the regional financial goals
Your profile as the Regional HR Manager:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
10 plus years of progressive HR experience.
5 plus years of Union Contract negotiations.
Strong functional expertise in benefits program design and administration
Knowledge of working in a manufacturing environment preferred
Demonstrated success in development and application of HR policy, recruitment & staffing, and talent development
Strong project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
Requires excellent communicative skills (verbal and written).
