Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for various HR functions, including advising/mentoring HR staff, assisting locations with talent acquisition, training development, payroll processing and workforce management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy/handbook writing, advising HR staff, working with HRIS systems, and be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Duties:
- Revising, writing and implementing policies and procedures, employee handbooks, and job descriptions for multiple locations.
- Mentor, advise, and guide HR staff at multiple locations on how to properly handle situations as they arise.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs
- Create and implement systems to identify the source of employee turn over and correct.
- Assist HR staff at multiple locations with the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training
- Oversee training and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and safety.
- Utilize HR systems to manage employee data and ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Assist in the implementation of change management initiatives within the organization
- Provide guidance and support to employees and HR staff at multiple locations regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of HR systems
- Experience in talent acquisition and interviewing techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of workforce management principles and practices
- Experience in Health & Safety, risk assesments, and job hazard analysis is a plus
