  • JOB PURPOSE

    The Senior Director of HRIS & HR Analytics is responsible for driving the strategic direction of HR systems and providing leadership and consulting to our most critical projects. This includes leading the HRIS team in design, testing and development of the information systems that support HR business processes. Senior Director of HRIS & HR Analytics is responsible for ongoing mentoring on continuous improvement to systems and processes.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides systems support and analysis to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of HR and users of HR information systems through the Company.
    • Works with HR staff in assessing needs for various business functions within the department. Assists management in identifying and analyzing options and recommends business process enhancements.
    • Assists HR team members and department staff with technical issues related to the use of HRIS systems.
    • Assists staff in the creation of more difficult queries to select and compile information from the HRIS system as needed.
    • Participates in meetings for identification and resolution of issues and consideration and evaluation of potential system enhancements.
    • Acts as editor/publishes for the Employee Self Service portal to ensure consistency across all companies.
    • Works with functional areas to identify roles of project team members, project reporting structures, frequency of interaction and training requirements.
    • Maintains familiarity with all computer systems used in the department, utilizing them as needed, evaluating their effectiveness and making recommendations for enhancements.
    • Assists in developing training plans and training documents. Assists in training HR Department staff and other utilizing HR computer systems.
    • Responds to complaints referred by unit staff and other, by determining the best possible manner to approach and resolve problems. Works to provide positive public relations and represent the organization and Human Resources Department in the most favorable manner possible.
    • Participates/creates the development of new manual and computerized systems and enhancements to current systems
    • Develop a portfolio to evolve HR technology toward more consolidated, easy to use, integrated solutions.
    • Instructs staff in use of new methods and procedures associates with systems or reports and closely monitors any implementation phases or new systems or processes.
    • Develop, maintain, and communicate the process for initiating and executing HR technology projects
    • Log issues of HR staff and those experienced by the public in help desk tracking system. Follow up with user to ensure issues were resolved.
    • Creates complex queries to provide program statistics for management. Arrange data in spreadsheets to perform calculations find percentages and determine ratios. Analyze and interpret statistics and provide overview of the findings.
    • Benchmark best practices, HR technology, and workforce analytics technology; Perform research and internal analysis of business and technical strategies to inform HR technology decisions and recommend technologies to enable strategic outcomes.
    • Serves as a point of contact for HR departments and assist other groups with ensuring data integrity, security, testing, report writing and analyzing data flows for audit and process/procedures improvement opportunities
    • Develop and deliver compelling technology and strategy presentations to non-technical and technical audiences
    • Partner with Payroll Services to support payroll requirements, including functional and regulatory compliance
    • Stay current with changing regulatory and compliance requirements and serve as the HR authority on security access and controls to protect team member data and systems

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    1. Strong analytical/problem solving skills.

    4. Working knowledge of and experience in utilizing and creating databases and spreadsheets.
    5. Considerable ability to make routines decision in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
    6. Considerable ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
    7. Considerable ability to solve problems related to computer system software and operations.
    8. Preferred knowledge of ADP Vantage System, talent analytics and business intelligences tools, and other technologies used in HR.
    9. Strong customer service orientation that places high value on customer satisfaction, confidentiality, and quality of work
    10. Proven expertise managing vendor/supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, ongoing maintenance and support and problem-resolution.

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in; Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources or related field or equal work experience.
    • 7-10 years of HRIS experience, five of which are in HRIS Solutions.
    • PHR/SPHR/SHRM certifications a plus.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    While performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the environment the employee will encounter:

    • Usual office working conditions.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • No physical exertion required.
    • Travel within or outside of state.
    • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

     

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

     

    Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with EduServe's salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by EduServe.

     

    FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

    Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

     

    EVALUATION

    Performance will be evaluated in accordance with EduServe's policy.
