HRIS Director directs the operations of an organization's human resource information systems. Analyzes business requirements and determines hardware and software requirements to meet data management needs. Being an HRIS Director ensures the integrity of internal database files, tables and reports. May develop integrated web-based HR programs. Additionally, HRIS Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The HRIS Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides administrative assistance and support on a variety of Human Resources initiatives and projects, with a focus on data and compensation. Acts as a Human Resources liaison to employees and management. Troubleshoots and resolves various human resources issues using current policies, plan documents and departmental guidelines.
- Require an Associate Degree in Business or related field. Relevant experience in Human Resources or Human Resources Information Systems may substitute on a year for year basis for the required degree.
- Require one (1) year of recent related experience, preferably in Human Resources with a similarly sized healthcare institution. A Bachelor's degree in related field can be considered in lieu of experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Prefer demonstrated experience with Human Resources systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle, Lawson, etc.).
- Prefer demonstrated experience with Time and Attendance systems (API, Kronos, etc.).
- Prefer excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize time to meet deadlines.
- Prefer ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, possess strong customer service, conflict resolution, and service recovery skills.
- Prefer strong analytical skills.
- Prefer ability to exercise sound discretionary judgment and effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
