HRIS Manager manages and oversees an organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Develops, implements, and modifies software and hardware requirements based on changing business requirements. Being a HRIS Manager maintains internal database files and tables, and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff. Provides the necessary training to meet end users needs. Additionally, HRIS Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to Director. The HRIS Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     What do we need?

    The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Manager is responsible for the evaluation, deployment, implementation and support of Human Resources (HR) information systems.  They ensure that Aspirion is optimizing the HRIS software to support and enhance human capital management practices such as hiring, performance management, etc. This individual serves as the technical/functional point-of-contact for the HRMS and ensures data integrity, configuration and testing of system changes, troubleshooting interfaces, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. In addition, this individual will support system upgrades, patches, testing, and interfaces to 3rd party vendors.

    What will you provide?

    • Lead and manage the daily operation and regular updates of Human Resources information systems (HRIS).
    • Oversee and maintain optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades.
    • Guide the evaluation and deployment of HRIS solutions with internal stakeholders; Support the swift adoption of systems, updates, and processes through training and leadership.
    • Secure data integrity within the HR system(s) through regular audits, queries and data analysis.
    • Ensure that HRIS system(s) are aligned with labor regulations, data protection rules, and organizational hiring goals and policies.
    • Serve as a central resource, working with HR, IT, finance, and other stakeholders to maintain and improve the HRIS, including configuration, end-user access, security, and system efficiency.
    • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for the HR systems used in the organization.
    • Collaborate with HR leadership and teammates to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implement solutions.
    • Analyzes employee data to uncover insights regarding human resource management activities; develop, compile and/or provide complex data reports for senior leaders and HR teammates.  
    • Serve as lead representative and liaison between HR, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
    • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
    • Conduct training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation; Train internal stakeholders and new system users on processes/functionality.
    • Manage permissions, access, personalization, system operations and settings for HRIS users.
    • Support system set-up for department codes, position codes, supervisor codes, etc., and sets up basic configuration in HRIS.
    • Perform system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches.
    • Collaborate with functional and technical staff, internally and externally, to coordinate application of upgrade or needed system resolution.
    • Provide production support, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
    • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.

    Requirements

    • In-depth understanding of best practices in HRIS data management.
    • Proven track record to drive HRIS changes and manage HRIS responsibilities relating to projects with success.
    • Strong attention to detail with ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects, work to tight timeframes and achieve exceptional outcomes.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced evolving work environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
    • Proven ability to use a consultative approach and persuasive communication with stakeholders.
    • Ability to prioritize initiatives based on the evolving financial needs of the company, consistently making strategic recommendations to company leadership.
    • Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing effectively with issues that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place.

    • Highly developed oral and written interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict management skills and the ability to work effectively with other people.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience with HRIS, CRM, ATS or similar application used to manage employee data required.
    • Minimal four (4) years of experience HR database administration required; experience with larger HRIS systems preferred.
    • Solid understanding of HRIS, payroll, time & attendance, and scheduling solutions.
    • Strong knowledge of labor legislation and practices.
    • Proven experience with HR database administration, including payroll and ATS systems.
    • Understanding of data protection regulations like GDPR.
    • Experience with mergers and acquisitions and supporting a diverse workforce strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated strength in project management and vendor negotiation.
    • Ability to deal effectively with teammates at all levels.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of business process management and human resource planning and principles.
    • Excellent communication skills including the ability to facilitate, negotiate and persuade others.
    • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
    • Highly customer service oriented, with the ability to create a positive and meaningful customer experience.

    The US base pay range for this position starts at $85,000 annually. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary, a competitive benefits package is offered.
