The Advisory HRIS Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting and maintaining the Human Resource Information Management System serving as a technical liaison for information systems and related data/data reporting used in support of HR planning and operations. Through collaboration with other subject matter experts, this role ensures data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Provides ongoing daily technical HRIS support to Human Resources staff and other end users of HRIS applications.
    • Maintains and configures the HRIS and timekeeping systems to ensure optimal efficiency.
    • Plays an active role in the research, planning, support, and implementation of HR system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
    • Serves as an HR Technical project expert for the company. Ensures the HR Data & Technology Roadmap is properly documented and is refreshed as needed to align with IT strategic plans, other stakeholder’s needs, and company short-term and long-term strategic planning.
    • Maintains HR and payroll data integrity in the systems by running queries, analyzing data, and creating and running various reconciliations, including gap analysis.
    • Conducts regular audits and maintenance of employee records, including HR status updates, terminations, and new hires. Control data quality of information within HRIS systems; validates changes related to HRIS data.
    • Ability to develop procedures and documentation and train others on overall functionality and capabilities.
    • Continuously works to ensure all HRIS data is secure by diligently monitoring security settings and all user provisioning is handled appropriately. Tests the systems on a regular basis and performs HRIS security audits for various profiles and security levels on a quarterly basis.
    • Maintains HR business systems to ensure continued operations through testing and enhancements while leveraging internal resources and/or outside vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
    • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
    • Understands and follows project management principles such as the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Routinely applies this knowledge to technical projects to properly communicate progress, plus tracks project status, milestones, constraints, and budgetary implications.
    • Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
    • Focuses on ongoing improvement and best practices, through classes, reading, CBTs, or other mechanisms, continuously increasing both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.

    The ideal candidate will have the following educational and experience background:

    Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on confidentiality, tact and diplomacy and the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical users.
    • Strong analytical skills with a strong proficiency in Excel preferred.
    • Outstanding organizational skills and detail orientation.
    • Strong customer service orientation.
    • Working knowledge or familiarity with the use of project management principles, terminology, and tracking tools.
    Abilities:
    • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with both HR and Business stakeholders.
    • Ability to organize work and set priorities for accomplishing work in a timely and effective manner.
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action to provide solutions.
    Experience:
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience supporting HRIS platform(s), within a system configuration, system maintenance and/or data reporting perspective.
    • Previous experience in supporting or leading a large-scale HRIS implementation is desired.
    • Prior HRIS experience with UltiPro software (UKG PRO and UKG Ready) is highly preferred.
    Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field of study.
