THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic (title of role) with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, build transformative relationships, and eliminate educational inequities to advance social justice.
To put it simply, you will strive to ensure all current, prospective, and outgoing YES Prep employees’ files are maintained according to federal and state regulations. You will also utilize the applicant tracking system and Munis to align and process personnel actions in conjunction with timely employee communication as needed.
THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:

Partnering with the Talent Management team to assist and support Yes Prep Employees (current and future) with new hire onboarding, changes in employment, end of employment off-boarding, and other related tasks.

Ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Presenting offer letters, verifies eligibility to work in the U.S., and reviews background check information in accordance with legal requirements/organizational policies and procedures.
- Responsible for completing data entry, data maintenance, data accuracy in all HRIS systems. Auditing for any data discrepancies and updates all systems accordingly/in time is a must.

Maintaining open communication with all prospective hires and current employees. Ensures all inquiries receive a response within a reasonable time frame.
- Keeping up to date on Federal and State regulations concerning employment laws, compensation laws, and employee and organization protections.

Managing, planning, and overseeing the execution of various work projects and processes to meet department and organizational goals.

Other duties as assigned.

THE NICE TO HAVES

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Human Resources experience or a strong desire to dive into the Human Resources field

THE PERKS

Compensation – This position is a non-exempt, hourly position; offers commensurate with experience.
Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20 hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
Retirement Plans – Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and a 457b Retirement Plan.
- Paid Time Off – Employees working 20 hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
