Duties and Responsibilities:
35%-In partnership with Academic Affairs and Information Technology, manage and provide pertinent personnel and position information for a seamless and robust processing of FLAC. Oversees the upgrades and implementations following project management methodologies, ensuring successful system deployments and maintenance. Oversees the effective maintenance of all HR related employee records, both electronic and hard copy. Ensuring all records are maintained to applicable regulatory and college standards. Supervises and oversees the HRIS Quality Assurance Analyst and the overall responsibilities of the HRIS team. Provides guidance to all HR staff on efficient and accurate use of core HR processes, to include college wide processes (e.g., merit increases, recruitment, payroll, faculty salary agreements, federal and state reporting etc.). Manages the HR processes to generate all HR data upload files into HR ERP and works with HRIS Manager/OIT to update processes as college operations or the academic calendar changes. Creating and maintaining an environment in which accurate, clean HR data is accessible to appropriate users and HR professionals. As required, may be accountable for the development of sophisticated analysis of HR data. Manage, monitor, and support the daily operations of HRIS systems and direct report.
25%-Making key performance data and related analysis accessible to the HR teams and key constituents for the development of policies, programs and administration. Creates relevant reports, visuals and dashboards with various reporting and business intelligence tools and facilitates advanced reporting. Processing employee data, producing HR related reports and ensuring compliance. Generating, on request, customized HRIS reports for special projects including employee headcount and Workforce metrics, creating ad hoc queries, and required HR data reports (including state, federal, and civil service).
15%-Troubleshoots technical support for the HR Department. Communicates with the IT department and assists in troubleshooting integration files between systems. Leads and/or participates on implementation teams. Supports and coordinates the HR team through implementation and upgrade processes. Creates testing scenarios for upgrades and new systems. Working in conjunction with the HRIS Manager/OIT for all HR system upgrades and implementations.
10%-Accountable for supporting a broad spectrum of HR functions which may include, tracking key performance indicators, analyzing market data and compensation programs, faculty annual salary agreement process, responding to surveys, conducting research and analysis to address a variety of issues and challenges related to human resources.
10%-Design and document business processes, workflow, and output (views queries, interfaces, and reports). Maintains quality and consistency of HRIS database and other HR platforms.
5%-Trains HR staff on new technology. Other duties as assigned.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience working in HRIS.
Required Experience: Advanced level technical skills with Excel and Cognos report writing tools for extracting accurate data from a variety of database systems. Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products. Four years of previous experience with Ellucian Banner Human Resource Information System (HRIS) or a similar system from which experience can be drawn.
