  • Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

    • Assists in the implementation of appropriate software to ensure that the organization has high quality, efficient systems.
    • Works with local property HR staff and external consulting teams to create consistent workflows and other HR processes.
    • Liaises with Information Technology, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation projects with the direction of the Director of HRIS.
    • Works with Director to ensure IT alignment on system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
    • Follows trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.
    • Provides feedback to Director on needed improvements and enhancements to the HRIS, support from vendors, and new solutions, as necessary.
    • Develops and maintains appropriate role security and portal administration profiles.
    • Validates that content and workflows in HRIS support an optimal team member experience.
    • Becomes subject matter expert regarding functionality and data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
    • Trains new and existing users on HRIS processes and functionality, including system access, utilization and report queries.
    • Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation as needed.
    • Ensures proper testing of systems and integration, maintains system efficiencies and resolves system issues.
    • Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of HR reports/queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
    • Assists in developing standard reports for ongoing business needs.
    • Helps maintain data integrity by running queries and analyzing data.

    Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Supports development and maintenance of HR-related content for distribution and/or posting.
    • Sets up and maintains associated data types, rules, data mapping, and conversion requirements for any HR/payroll-related data feeds.
    • Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintains data in HRIS systems and databases and assures information is available on a timely basis.
    • Performs group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and research/report on any data discrepancies.
    • Aids and supports others on difficult HRIS-related assignments and/or problems as directed.
    • Helps maintain electronic records in compliance with applicable legal and company requirements.
    • Provides occasional administrative support such as preparing and composing confidential correspondence.
    • Performs other duties as required.

    • Knowledge of Corporate Office policies and procedures
    • Strong team collaboration skills
    • Ability to develop positive working relationships with business partners
    • Knowledge of payroll, benefits and HRIS system components
    • Knowledge of employment law, including federal, state, local and tribal, as well as compensation and benefit practices
    • Knowledge of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment

    Training Requirements:

    • Understanding of the MGE budget planning and analysis process and procedures
    • Understanding of Time and Attendance and Database Management systems

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Office work environment
    • must be able to use a computer continually for an extended period of time
    • 5% travel may be required
    • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
