HVAC Mechanic jobs in Clearwater, FL
HVAC Mechanic performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Being an HVAC Mechanic follows blueprints or engineering specifications to install units. Performs troubleshooting to identify the cause of problems. Additionally, HVAC Mechanic maintains and secures a spare parts inventory. Recommends purchasing maintenance equipment and supplies as required to improve processes and efficiencies. Typically requires an apprenticeship and/or completion of technical training. Requires a high school diploma. The regulations governing the location may require an HVAC Mechanical State License and EPA Section 608 Certification (CFC). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The HVAC Mechanic works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. As an HVAC Mechanic III here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems in commercial and industrial buildings. You will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and safety of building occupants by ensuring that HVAC systems are operating efficiently and effectively. With your expertise in HVAC systems, you will contribute to the overall success of our facilities and help us deliver exceptional service to our customers.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and functionality of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- 1st shift 6:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
- Perform routine production maintenance task
- Review drawings and schematics
- Perform production equipment troubleshooting
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections
- Determine root cause failure of production equipment
- Prepare and update production equipment records
- Maintain work area
