HVAC Supervisor supervises and coordinates the operations, maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Oversees the installation of new units and replacement parts and ensures work is completed according to company, product, or engineering specifications and established safety guidelines. Being an HVAC Supervisor conducts quality testing and inspections. May authorize equipment, supplies, parts, or repairs purchases. Additionally, HVAC Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Requires an HVAC Mechanical State License and EPA Section 608 Certification (CFC). Typically reports to a manager. The HVAC Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an HVAC Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Summary/Objective

Essential Functions
1. Plans, assigns and schedules projects
2. Supervises the work of skilled and unskilled workers in maintaining and repairing air conditioning, refrigeration and related mechanical systems and equipment
3. Conducts regular inspections of work in progress and on completion.
4. Provides technical assistance in the design, installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
5. Study developments in refrigerants, equipment and practices and utilizes findings in the installation and maintenance of equipment.
6. Recruits and trains personnel in the safe operation of equipment and tools.
7. Establishes and enforce safety regulations, work performance standards, rules and working conditions.
