HVAC Supervisor supervises and coordinates the operations, maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Oversees the installation of new units and replacement parts and ensures work is completed according to company, product, or engineering specifications and established safety guidelines. Being an HVAC Supervisor conducts quality testing and inspections. May authorize equipment, supplies, parts, or repairs purchases. Additionally, HVAC Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Requires an HVAC Mechanical State License and EPA Section 608 Certification (CFC). Typically reports to a manager. The HVAC Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an HVAC Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Position Summary
To maintain and repair all heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment throughout the facility.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1.
Install, repair, and maintain environmental systems throughout the hospital.
2.
Repair and maintain all refrigerators and freezers throughout the facility.
3.
Monitor building automation system and respond to requests for changes and alarms.
4.
Repair all chilled water, hot water, and steam lines servicing all environmental equipment.
5.
Make repairs based on work orders generated from dispatch according to priority.
6.
Advise Supervisor of parts/stock needed in order to make necessary repairs.
