Hand Compositor/Typesetters sets type by hand and machine. Assembles type and cuts in galley for printing articles, headings, and other printed matter. Being a Hand Compositor/Typesetters determines type size, style, and compositional pattern from work order. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hand Compositor/Typesetters may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. The Assistant Teacher will play a vital role in the efficient administration and implementation of the program. The Assistant Teacher will collaborate with the Teacher to create and deliver engaging curriculum, while prioritizing the safety, growth, and development of the program participants. Effective communication with children, parents, and fellow staff members will also be a key responsibility.
