Ministry Function:

The Inventory Lead supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by working alongside the Inventory and Distribution Center teams to manage inventory integrity involving inventory receiving, valuation, counting, and audit compliance. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Facilitating and providing the lead inventory count for all inbound inventory transactions.
2. Processes inventory receiving transactions in conjunction with the Inventory team.
3. Executes random cycle counts in frequent intervals to maintain and verify inventory accuracy.
4. Conducts inventory audits at the direction of the Senior Director – Inventory.
5. Assists the Inventory Operations Director with Hands of Hope and kitted inventory.
6. Assists with expanded product descriptions within the warehouse management system.
7. Follows general and equipment specific safety rules.  Uses appropriate safety protection equipment and other safety devices.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. Experience in processes and inventory.
3. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.  Experience with a warehouse management system is a plus. 
4. Must be able to stand for long periods of time during inventory audits and cycle counts.
5. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
6. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to make sound, independent decisions. 
7. Strong organizational skills and ability to handle concurrent, multiple job tasks.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to be flexible, work overtime and respond to rapidly changing priorities.
10. Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
11. Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
12.  As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
